In this full-time role, you will bring your knowledge of sterile techniques, human anatomy, and surgical procedures to support both therapeutic and diagnostic surgeries. You’ll play an essential part in the efficient operation of the OR, OPS, CS, and other areas requiring invasive procedures. Certified Surgical Technologist Job Responsibilities •Assist in Surgical Procedures: Utilize your knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures to assist in both diagnostic and therapeutic operations. •Ensure Sterile and Aseptic Conditions: Apply sterile techniques to ensure safety and minimize the risk of infection during surgeries. •Set Up and Maintain Equipment: Ensure that all surgical tools, instruments, and technologies are properly set up and maintained for use in the operating room. •Work Across Multiple Settings: Provide support in the OR, OPS, CS, and other areas where invasive procedures take place. •On-Call Availability: Take on on-call hours as scheduled by the Director of Surgery, ensuring you are available when needed. •Collaboration: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other team members to ensure smooth and effective procedures. Job Requirements Licensure & Certifications: •Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. •AHA BLS certification required (within 30 days of hire). •Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required or ability to obtain certification. Skills & Experience: •Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques. •Ability to work with surgical tools and equipment in various settings. •Experience handling invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. •In-depth understanding of the principles of surgical asepsis. •Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure. •Willingness to be available for on-call hours as necessary.
