Grand Junction, CO    Microbiology Supervisor - MT Position Overview We are looking for a dedicated, skilled, and forward-thinking Microbiology Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The Microbiology Supervisor will play a key role in managing our state-of-the-art laboratory. The candidate will be responsible for supervising the operations and personnel of the Microbiology Department, maintaining the highest standards of proficiency, efficiency, and safety in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Job Responsibilities of Microbiology Laboratory Technical Supervisor •Oversee daily laboratory operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to established protocols and safety procedures •Directs and assists Clerical, lab assistants, and technologists with laboratory workflow •Participate in strategic decisions that affect laboratory operations •Actively contributes to the development and redesign of innovative test procedures and methodologies, taking a leading role in the assessment and introduction of new instruments and procedures, while fostering collaborative evaluation and correlation efforts •Monitors test results quality control measures, and proficiency testing outcomes, adeptly applying established guidelines to implement appropriate corrective actions in alignment with departmental standards •Train, mentor, and supervise laboratory staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and skill development Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree •4 years in the field of Medical Laboratory Science •MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), or equivalent certification required •Qualifies as a Technical Supervisor according to CLIA guidelines We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package, including professional growth opportunities.
