Myrtle Beach, SC    Surgical Technologist - First Assistant - Operating Room Job Description: We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist - First Assistant to join our team. In this crucial role, you will support surgeons during operations by maintaining a sterile environment and providing essential assistance throughout surgical procedures. Your expertise will be pivotal in ensuring smooth surgeries and positive patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: •Assist surgeons with tissue handling, suctioning, and hemostasis during procedures. •Maintain a sterile field and prepare surgical instruments with precision. •Work closely with the surgical team to monitor patient conditions throughout the operation. •Accurately document surgical procedures and ensure proper sterilization of instruments. •Operate under the supervision and authority of the surgeon to ensure the safe and effective conduct of both invasive and non-invasive surgical procedures. •Ensure the operating room environment is safe, equipment is functioning properly, and all procedures are conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Qualifications: •Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology Program. •Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Surgical Assistant Association. •Advanced First Assistant certification preferred. •Proven experience in a surgical setting. •Completes 20 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) / year of advance training.
