MLR Healthcare is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. In this role, you will perform a range of nuclear medicine procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, contributing to our commitment to providing outstanding healthcare to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
•Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including SPECT scans, PET scans, bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and thyroid uptake studies.
•Safely administer radiopharmaceuticals according to hospital protocols.
•Operate advanced imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners, to capture high-quality diagnostic images.
•Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being.
•Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to provide accurate, timely reports based on imaging results.
•Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient information, procedures, and radiopharmaceutical usage.
•Clean and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues.
•Educate patients on procedures, answering any questions or addressing concerns.
Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
•Current certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) with a focus on nuclear medicine.
•State licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
•Minimum of 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
•Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and related software.
•Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiation safety protocols.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient care.
