Vascular Sonographer Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Vascular Sonographer to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will use advanced ultrasound equipment to perform non-invasive diagnostic imaging of the vascular system, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment planning for various vascular conditions. Your expertise will contribute to the overall well-being of our patients by providing accurate and timely results to the medical team.
Vascular Sonographer Key Responsibilities:
•Perform high-quality ultrasound exams of the vascular system, including arteries and veins.
•Assess and document vascular conditions, including aneurysms, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and peripheral artery disease (PAD).
•Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout the process.
•Review patient history and previous imaging results to provide comprehensive diagnostic support.
•Analyze images, identify vascular abnormalities, and collaborate with physicians to assist in diagnosis and treatment plans.
•Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, ensuring proper documentation of imaging results.
•Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and calibrated.
•Follow strict protocols to ensure patient safety and comfort during exams.
Vascular Sonographer Qualifications:
•Certification as a Vascular Sonographer (RVT or RVT/ARDMS) required.
•High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Sonography program preferred.
•Previous experience in vascular sonography is preferred.
•Knowledge of vascular anatomy, pathology, and non-invasive diagnostic techniques.
•Strong ability to analyze and interpret diagnostic images.
•Excellent communication and patient interaction skills.
•Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and under pressure.
