MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a full-time, permanent Nursing Specialist to join a dedicated team at a respected acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas!
Salary: $65,540 - $90,320 per year
Responsibilities of a Nursing Specialist:
•Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations and engage with patients to assess their health, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
•Medical Documentation: Accurately document patient medical histories, symptoms, and overall health status.
•Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for exams and procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
•Work Schedule: Night shifts, Monday through Friday.
•Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments, monitoring for any adverse effects or reactions.
•Care Plan Development: Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and update personalized care plans for patients.
•Wound Care: Provide wound management, including cleaning and dressing, as required.
•Assisting with Procedures: Support healthcare providers during medical procedures, ensuring proper assistance and patient care.
•Equipment Operation: Operate and monitor medical equipment, ensuring functionality and safety.
•Sample Collection: Collect blood, urine, and other specimens for laboratory analysis.
•Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, providing clear instructions and addressing concerns.
•Supervision: Oversee the work of licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students, ensuring quality care standards and efficiency.
Requirements:
•Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
•CPR-BCLS Certification
•ACLS Certification: Must be obtained within 6 months for C4 units.
•NRP Certification: Required within 6 months for C4 and Labor & Delivery (L&D) units.
•PALS or ENPC Certification: Must be completed within 18 months for Pediatric units.
