Big Spring, TX    Registered Nurse MLR (MLee Recruiting) is looking for a full-time, permanent Nursing Specialist to join a well-regarded acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas! Salary: $65,426 - $90,821 per year Nursing Specialist Duties: •Patient Evaluations: Conduct assessments and discuss health concerns with patients to understand their needs. •Medical Records: Document thorough medical histories and note current health conditions, including symptoms. •Patient Comfort and Preparation: Prepare patients for exams and treatments, ensuring they feel relaxed and well-informed. •Shift Details: Night shift, Monday through Friday. •Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments safely, monitoring for any adverse effects. •Care Plan Development: Work with the healthcare team to create and update patient care plans. •Wound Management: Provide wound care, including cleaning and dressing as needed. •Procedure Support: Assist healthcare providers during various procedures. •Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain medical equipment, ensuring proper functionality. •Sample Collection: Collect specimens, such as blood and urine, for lab testing. •Education and Communication: Educate patients and families about treatment plans and address any questions or concerns. •Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor nursing staff, including LPNs, nursing assistants, and students, to maintain high standards of care. Requirements: •Active Registered Nurse (RN) License •CPR-BCLS Certification •C4 Units: Obtain ACLS certification within 6 months; NRP certification within 6 months. •Labor & Delivery: ACLS certification within 6 months; NRP certification within 6 months. •NICU: NRP certification within 6 months.
