MLR (MLee Recruiting) is seeking a full-time, permanent Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit at a respected acute-care hospital near Abilene, Texas. Join a compassionate team focused on delivering high-quality care!
Compensation: $61,219 to $86,287 annually
Key Responsibilities:
•Patient Monitoring and Evaluation: Consistently assess and monitor patients' vital signs and general health, responding swiftly to any changes or concerns.
•Treatment Administration: Accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring precise execution of all procedures.
•Care Coordination: Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans for patients.
•Patient and Family Education: Effectively communicate medical details, treatment strategies, and discharge instructions to patients and their families, providing emotional support as needed.
•Emergency Action: Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, delivering critical interventions when necessary.
•Record Maintenance: Keep comprehensive and accurate patient records, documenting treatments and promptly reporting any significant changes in the patient’s condition.
Qualifications:
•RN License: Must have an active Registered Nurse license.
•Required Certifications: CPR-BCLS certification is needed before completing orientation; ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications are also required prior to completion of orientation.
•Data and Equipment Expertise: Proficient in data entry and healthcare software systems, with the ability to operate therapeutic medical equipment.
•Professionalism: Maintain a consistently professional appearance and demeanor.
•Nursing Knowledge: Strong understanding of nursing processes, with the ability to provide care based on best practice standards.
•Confidentiality: Must be able to protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of care and documentation.
