Sedalia, MO    Medical Laboratory Technician / Medical Technologist Eligible for a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus!!! MLR Healthcare is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist (MLT/MT) to join our team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic testing based on physician orders, under the supervision of the Clinical Director. This position requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail, including maintaining laboratory equipment, performing quality control assessments, and effectively managing daily workflows. You may also have the opportunity to mentor lab staff and students with approval from the Laboratory Director. Key Responsibilities: •Foster a positive, collaborative environment within the department to ensure productivity and efficiency. •Engage in continuous professional development, adopting new practices and techniques as needed. •Perform venipuncture across all patient age groups to collect specimens, ensuring high-quality samples. •Conduct accurate testing in various laboratory departments, troubleshooting issues as they arise. •Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for quality control, document corrective actions, and make informed decisions regarding patient results. •Process proficiency samples, document critical values, and ensure confidentiality when communicating results. •Participate in competency testing and engage in ongoing professional development activities. •Maintain certification, participate in in-service education, and attend departmental meetings. •Assist with the training of new employees or students, as needed. Requirements: •Registered MLT/MT with valid credentials (ASCP, NCAMLP, AMT, ASMT, or equivalent). •Proficiency in operating laboratory instruments and accurately interpreting results. •Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, medical staff, and customers. •Ability to work with patients of all ages, addressing their needs and limitations. •Familiarity with laboratory policies and procedures.
