Responsibilities:
~ Conduct consultations with patients to assess symptoms and health concerns
~ Diagnose and treat conditions such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema
~ Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic exams including CT scans, bronchoscopies, and chest ultrasounds
~ Perform specialized procedures to collect samples for analysis
~ Provide immunizations against preventable cardiopulmonary illnesses
~ Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation
~ Refer patients to cardiothoracic surgery when needed
~ Advise on risk management for high-risk cases, especially those involving tuberculosis
~ Offer ongoing support and management for long-term care patients
~ Participate in research and development of new medications and treatment methodologies
