(Physician/MD qualifications required) Medical Director - Position:
• Critical leadership role within the corrections health system guiding medical practice, enhancing quality of care, and implementing innovative strategies for improving public health.
• Full-time position: predominantly administrative with periodic clinical time
• The Medical Director is an integral part of the Corrections Health Senior Leadership Team of professionals

• Multnomah County Corrections Health services three facilities: Multnomah County Detention Center (MCDC) - houses 448 adults; Multnomah County Inverness Jail (MCIJ) - houses 1,037 adults; and Donald E. Long Juvenile Detention Home (JDH) - houses 34 juveniles.

Qualifications:
• MD or DO
• Board certification or eligibility in given specialty
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Oregon
• Valid CPR and DEA certification required upon start
• Leadership experience a plus
• Excellent clinical skills required
• Strong interpersonal and team building skills
• Ability to successfully collaborate with and motivate diverse individuals
• Possess exceptional communication skills, including sensitivity to cultural, gender, racial, and linguistic differences
