Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed and compassionate Dentist to provide comprehensive, preventive, and primary dental care in a community health center setting. The position involves working with patients of all ages, delivering dental services that are consistent with professional training and within the scope of practice. This is an exempt clinical position requiring strong diagnostic and treatment skills in a collaborative and mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
~Examine, diagnose, and treat dental conditions in accordance with approved clinical guidelines.
~Document patient interactions in EMR systems to ensure accurate clinical and administrative records.
~Prescribe and carry out appropriate dental treatment or refer patients to specialists as needed.
~Promote oral health and disease prevention through patient education and outreach.
~Participate in the training, mentoring, and onboarding of new staff and team members.
~Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local dental care regulations and protocols.
~Maintain up-to-date dental knowledge through continuing education.
~Attend mandatory trainings, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
~Support organizational goals through additional clinical and administrative tasks as assigned by the Dental Director.
Qualifications
~Education:
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited dental school.
~Licensure & Certifications:
Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in Louisiana.
Active Louisiana CDS and DEA Registration.
Current CPR certification.
~Technical Skills:
Familiarity with EMR systems (preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

~Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
