(Physician/MD qualifications required) Palliative Care/Hospice - We are seeking a Pediatric Hospice & Palliative Medicine (PHPM) Physician to provide expert care and leadership in a part-time (20 hours|week) role. This is a rare opportunity to deliver holistic, family-centered care to children and young adults with serious and life-limiting illnesses, from diagnosis through treatment and end-of-life.
Your Impact
As a member of our interdisciplinary medical staff, you will provide care across the full spectrum of services, including:
• Home and facility-based hospice
• Pediatric inpatient hospice
• Hospital-based palliative care consultations
• Virtual and in-person palliative care visits
• Outpatient clinic care
You will:
• Lead the medical plan of care for pediatric hospice patients
• Participate in weekly interdisciplinary group (IDG) meetings
• Collaborate with attending physicians to manage complex, chronic, and terminal illnesses
• Provide guidance and support to professional staff and families
• Represent the program at community and support events
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of pediatric palliative care experience
• HPM Board Certification (strongly preferred)
• Active DEA and medical license in VA, MD, and|or DC
• Deep commitment to interdisciplinary, family-centered care
• Passion for supporting patients' social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being
