Position Overview:
Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC), a 74-bed hospital serving the Navajo Nation, seeks a dedicated OB|GYN Physician to provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. This is a non-personal services contract position under the Indian Health Service, offering a chance to deliver high-quality, culturally sensitive care in a diverse and underserved community.

Qualifications
~ Education:
~ Doctor of Medicine with a current, unrestricted license in any U.S. state or territory.
~ Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
~ Experience: 24+ months OB|GYN practice
~ Technical Skills:
~ BLS|ACLS certification
~ EHR documentation expertise
~ Compliance with all immunization requirements (MMR, Varicella, TB, Hepatitis B, Flu, Tdap|Td).
~ Soft Skills: Cultural awareness and ability to work respectfully with Native American populations.

Key Responsibilities
~ Provide OB|GYN care to patients of all ages, including consultations to other providers.
~ Conduct outpatient clinic sessions, evaluate patient concerns, diagnose, develop treatment plans, and educate patients|families.
~ Prescribe medications in compliance with federal regulations and IHS protocols.
~ Perform inpatient OB|GYN surgical services, including minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures.
~ Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
~ Participate in peer review, performance improvement programs, and adhere to departmental policies.
~ Provide call coverage as assigned (weekday 24-hour call and weekend 72-hour call rotations).
