We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Professional ERE Therapist to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and counseling for individuals and families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and a passion for helping clients achieve their mental health goals. The ERE Therapist or counselor will work a Monday-Friday during the day (8:00am-5:00pm) with holidays off. The QMHP will be working in a crisis setting with high acuity patients who frequent the ER. Many of these patients will be suffering from co-occurring disorders including substance abuse. This position does not require a license but does require a Masters Degree.
Duties
Provide individual and group counseling to clients, utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and art therapy.
Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
Facilitate crisis management and intervention strategies for clients in need of immediate support.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients with developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, and other mental health concerns.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and adhere to HIPAA regulations while managing patient records.
Engage in clinical research and data collection to enhance therapeutic practices and contribute to the field of mental health.
Offer support in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and clinic environments while working with diverse populations such as children, geriatrics, and individuals with autism.
Implement behavior management strategies and provide direct support to clients during therapy sessions.
Requirements
Master’s degree or higher in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
Proven experience in psychotherapy, crisis intervention, child & family counseling, or related areas.
Knowledge of behavioral health practices including grief counseling, chronic pain counseling, and psychopharmacology.
Experience working with people with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care protocols.
Ability to conduct telehealth sessions effectively is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
