Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse for a prestigious Acute Care | Academic Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. This role involves providing high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced, Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center environment.

Qualifications:
~ Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
~ Licensure: Active New York State RN license (required)
~ Experience: Minimum 3 years of PICU experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center
~ Certifications: BLS & PALS (required); ACLS (preferred)
~ Technical Skills: EMR experience (EPIC preferred)
~ Soft Skills: Strong clinical assessment & critical thinking abilities; Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
~ Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients
~ Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding to changes with appropriate interventions
~ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
~ Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care
~ Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility protocols
