Position Overview:
Provide specialized surgical support for pediatric procedures in a Level I trauma center and academic medical environment. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal outcomes for pediatric patients across complex specialties.

Qualifications:
~ Education: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
~ Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience (within the last 4 years) in:
~ Acute care facilities comparable to Level 1 trauma centers or teaching hospitals
~ Specialty areas such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, trauma, vascular, ENT, bariatric, GU, and GYN
~ Pediatric experience is preferred
~ Scrub experience is required
~ Technical Skills:
~ Complex pediatric scrub procedures
~ Sterile field maintenance
Key Responsibilities:
~ Prepare and sterilize instruments for pediatric surgeries
~ Anticipate surgeon needs during complex procedures
~ Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection protocols
~ Handle specialized pediatric surgical equipment
~ Assist in trauma, orthopedic, and neurosurgical cases
~ Coordinate specimen management and documentation
