Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a specialty in Tuberculosis (TB) care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and treating individuals with tuberculosis, suspected tuberculosis, latent TB infection, and other infectious diseases. Qualifications
~ Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
~ Licensure: Active RN license in Kentucky; CPR certification (must be maintained)
~ Experience: Infectious disease care strongly preferred
~ Technical Skills: TB diagnosis, treatment, and patient education expertise
~ Soft Skills: Cultural competency, trauma-informed care (or willingness to learn), strong collaboration, and patient education skills
Key Responsibilities
~ Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with TB or suspected TB
~ Assist in diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care for infectious diseases
~ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, patient-centered care
~ Educate patients, families, and the community about disease prevention and treatment plans
