Qualifications
~ Education: Licensed physician, registered nurse, social worker, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of documented success in the relevant field
~ Licensure|Certification:
Current RN license required (executive director-level hospice leadership preferred)
Current CPR certification required for those providing direct patient services
Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation
~ Experience: Minimum of 3 years in healthcare and 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within hospice or a similar setting
~ Technical Skills: Proven business development and growth capabilities
Key Responsibilities
~ Lead the development and implementation of goals for hospice services, ensuring alignment with organizational mission and patient care standards
~ Oversee daily operations including staff management, budget maintenance, and compliance with healthcare regulations at local, state, and federal levels
~ Recruit, hire, and mentor qualified staff while fostering a culture of excellence and compassion
~ Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
~ Monitor hospice census and staffing patterns to ensure adequate resource allocation and service delivery
~ Manage financial operations including budgeting, billing, and financial reporting
~ Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures
