Position Overview:
We are seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in Bonifay, FL. The OT will evaluate and treat children to improve their ability to perform daily life activities such as dressing, toileting, bathing, cooking, and recreational activities. Therapy may include stretching, strengthening, flexibility, fine motor training, and strategies to improve independence and academic performance.

Qualifications:
~ Education: Master’s or Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
~ Licensure: Current Florida OT license or eligibility for licensure
~ Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, adaptability, collaboration, excellent documentation, and interpersonal abilities
Key Responsibilities:
~ Conduct evaluations and provide occupational therapy interventions in school settings
~ Support development of fine motor skills to improve handwriting and object manipulation
~ Address hand–eye coordination for play and academic activities (copying, hitting a target, etc.)
~ Assist children with developmental delays in daily living tasks (toileting, bathing, dressing, feeding, brushing teeth)
~ Work with students with sensory and attention issues to improve focus and social skills
~ Support students with behavioral challenges through anger-management and positive coping strategies
~ Recommend and evaluate the need for adaptive equipment (splints, wheelchairs, communication aids, etc.)
