Position Overview
Deliver critical care in a high-acuity Med Surg|Telemetry unit, monitoring complex patients and responding to rapid changes in condition. Join a fast-paced team serving diverse acute care cases in a trauma-center environment.

Qualifications
~ Education: ADN|BSN from an accredited nursing program
~ Licensure: Active, unrestricted NY RN license
~ Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or eligible for immediate renewal)
~ Experience:
~ Minimum of 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years) in a facility of similar size and acuity
~ Must have experience in a Med Surg|Telemetry unit
~ Experience with high patient volume and multidisciplinary teams strongly preferred
~ Travel nurses must have prior experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers (or hospitals of equal or greater size)
~ Technical Skills:
~ Proficient in IV starts and lab draws
~ Skilled in monitoring and interpreting telemetry (tele)
~ Able to rapidly assess and respond to changes in patient condition
~ Soft Skills:
~ Rapid clinical assessment and crisis management
~ Strong documentation and communication abilities
~ Effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities
~ Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry
~ Perform IV starts and lab draws
~ Respond to rapid patient condition changes
~ Document care in compliance with clinical and hospital standards
~ Manage high-volume caseloads efficiently
~ Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
