Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Phlebotomist to join the team at a premier healthcare facility (Acute Care|Academic Medical Center) in Syracuse. In this role, you will be responsible for performing blood draws and ensuring the proper collection, labeling, and handling of specimens. Qualifications:
~ Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
~ Experience: At least 1 year of related phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
~ Technical Skills: Basic understanding of medical laboratory technology desired
~ Soft Skills: Excellent communication and patient interaction skills; must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
~ Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures
~ Verify patient information and label specimens correctly
~ Maintain a clean and well-stocked work area
