Job/Practice Description: Family Medicine Residency Program Director

• Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts
• Program development: Create the program, including setting goals and objectives. Provide leadership, vision, and strategic direction for the Family Medicine Residency Program.
• Ensure compliance with ACGME and institutional accreditation standards and requirements.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that supports resident education and aligns with best practices in family medicine.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor faculty members, ensuring a high standard of education and mentorship.
• Oversee the resident selection process, ensuring adherence to National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) guidelines.
• Monitor resident performance, provide regular evaluations, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
• Facilitate scholarly activity among faculty and residents, including research, quality improvement projects, and community engagement.
• Develop and oversee program policies and procedures, including duty hours, patient safety, and wellness initiatives.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with the Teaching Health Center administration, affiliated training sites, and external stakeholders.
• Serve as a mentor and role model for residents, promoting professionalism, ethical practice, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
• Ensure financial and operational efficiency of the residency program, including budgeting and resource allocation.
