The Director of the Hospitalist Program provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the hospitalist service line. This role is responsible for guiding clinical and administrative performance, managing a multidisciplinary team of physicians and advanced practice providers, and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities. The Director will play a critical role in advancing quality of care, operational efficiency, and program growth.

Core Responsibilities
Lead recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management for hospitalists and advanced practice providers
Establish, implement, and monitor program goals focused on quality outcomes, operational efficiency, and service expansion
Oversee day-to-day departmental operations, including budgeting, financial performance, and regulatory compliance
Partner with hospital leadership to drive quality improvement, patient safety, and key operational initiatives
Monitor, analyze, and improve key performance indicators (KPIs), including clinical outcomes, throughput, and patient satisfaction
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement among team members
Ensure adherence to clinical standards, evidence-based practices, and organizational policies

Candidate Profile
MD or DO degree with board certification in Internal Medicine
Demonstrated leadership experience in a hospitalist or inpatient care setting
Strong understanding of healthcare operations, quality metrics, and regulatory requirements
Proven ability to lead teams, drive performance improvement, and manage change effectively
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
