Job Title: RN – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Cardiology - We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to join the Heart Team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced CVOR nurse with strong cardiovascular surgical experience and hands-on exposure to robotic procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The CVOR RN will provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures and work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, perfusionists, and other members of the Heart Team.
Responsibilities may include:
• Providing safe and appropriate perioperative nursing care within the RN scope of practice
• Preparing the operating room and supporting cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Following sterile technique, infection-prevention, and patient-safety protocols
• Participating in robotic cardiovascular procedures as applicable
• Monitoring and documenting patient care throughout the perioperative process
• Communicating effectively with the multidisciplinary surgical team
• Responding to urgent|emergent Heart Team cases while on call
• Following facility policies, clinical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
Position Details
Specialty: RN – CVOR | Heart Team
Shift: 10-hour Days
Scheduled Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Call: Rotational call coverage required
Call Requirements
Candidates must be comfortable participating in the Heart Team's rotational call schedule.
• Call may include approximately one call assignment per week.
• Weekend call may be required.
• When assigned weekend call, coverage will be either Saturday or Sunday, not both.
• Weekend call may consist of 24-hour call coverage.
• Actual call scheduling is determined by facility needs and is not guaranteed to follow a specific pattern.
Required Experience
• Minimum 3+ years of CVOR experience
• Robotic surgery experience required
• Relevant Heart Team|cardiovascular surgical experience
