 Internal Medicine Physician

Connecticut | 100%
Outpatient | Community Health

All-Genz
MediMatch Recruit is recruiting an Internal Medicine Physician to join an
established community health organization in Connecticut. This opportunity is
well suited for a physician who values mission-driven medicine and a team-based
model of care designed to support a medically and socially complex patient
population.

Position Highlights

• 100% outpatient Internal Medicine.

• Full-time, 40-hour workweek.

• Approximately 18 scheduled patients per day once fully ramped.

• Patient visits are generally scheduled in 15- and 30-minute
increments.

• 10% protected administrative time, approximately four hours per
week for a full-time physician.

• Structured onboarding and gradual patient ramp-up.

• No double booking; scheduling is adjusted to account for the
clinic's no-show rate.

• Approximately 30% of the physician's schedule is protected from
call-center scheduling, allowing the clinical team to accommodate
physician-directed follow-up appointments.

• Daily team huddles and strong collaboration between clinical and
operations teams.

• Epic electronic health record and optional AI scribe technology.

• One late clinic evening per week.

• Telephonic call responsibilities.

Clinical Support

• A Medical Assistant is assigned to each physician's team.

• Shared RN support within Adult Medicine.

• RN Care Coordinator support for complex care needs, including
post-hospital transitions and medication reconciliation.

• Community Health Workers at each clinic assist patients with
social barriers to care and other non-clinical needs.

• Practice management and operational support.

• Interpreter services are available for patients who prefer to
communicate in a language other than English.

Onboarding and Ramp-Up

New physicians
are not expected to assume a full patient schedule immediately. The
organization uses a gradual ramp-up process that includes initial shadowing,
progression to approximately one patient per hour, then two patients per hour,
with advancement to the full schedule when the physician is ready.

Patient Population

The Adult
Medicine patient population is medically and socially complex. Approximately
50% of patients prefer to speak Spanish. Spanish fluency is helpful but is not
required. Interpreter technology is available, and the care team assists with
interpreter access when needed.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base compensation begins at approximately $250,000 for physicians
entering practice or newer physicians.

• Higher compensation may be considered for experienced Internal
Medicine physicians based on experience and overall fit.

• Sign-on/retention incentive may be available, generally in the
$10,000-$15,000 range depending on the individual offer.

• Relocation assistance may be considered as part of the overall
incentive package.

• Comprehensive malpractice coverage.

• CME allowance and CME time.

• State licensure and professional-fee reimbursement.

• Paid time off and recognized holidays.

• Benefits package available.

• The site participates in applicable federal loan-repayment
opportunities; individual eligibility is subject to program requirements.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.

• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.

• Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Connecticut
medical license.

• Current DEA registration and applicable controlled-substance
credentials.

• CPR certification as required by the organization.

• Comfort caring for patients with medical complexity and multiple
concurrent comorbidities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care and interest
in serving a diverse community health population.
